MNsure Broker Certification Training 2015

MNsure Broker Certification Training 2015, is available online and is approved for 2-hours of general insurance CE credit. The course includes audio “read along” materials to help you digest the content. There is a brief 25 question exam at the end.

The cost of the course is $12.95.

MNsure Broker Certification Training Requirements

All insurance agents and brokers who plan to assist individuals and small employers with purchasing coverage through MNsure must fulfill MNsure Broker Certification requirements, which include the completion of this course.  All certification requirements, including this training, must be completed prior to assisting any clients.

2015 MNsure Broker Recertification

All certified Minnesota brokers and agents will need to recertify prior to the start of the next open enrollment period. MNsure enrollment periods for 2015 are as follows:

• Individual Marketplace enrollment begins November 1, 2015
• SHOP enrollment begins November 15, 2015.

The recertification process will begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. This process will include the required annual privacy and security training. To maintain your certification status and remain on the public directory, you must complete the recertification training by October 31, 2015.

Recertification is for brokers who completed certification in 2014 or before May 31, 2015. These brokers will be required to complete an online data privacy and security course through MNsure. Upon successful completion, 1 CE credit will be earned and reported to the MN Department of Commerce to apply towards insurance producer CE requirements at no extra cost to you.

New MNsure Training in Fall 2015

MNsure will be launching additional core curriculum in fall 2015. The additional training will not be required as part of the certification, but will be offered through MNsure for CE credits towards the insurance producer license CE requirements. Courses will include an online simulation of the application process, SHOP tutorials, and an overview of MNsure’s products and services.
